Outside the Criterion Theatre by the Statue of Eros. Your guide will be carrying a Fun London Tours flag. Arrive 10 minutes before the tour is due to start. We leave promptly at the designated start time.

We finish the tour near Buckingham Palace.

  • Ceremony can be altered at the discretion of the British Army, or occasionally due to rain
  • All tours are dependent on the British Army's schedule
  • No dogs are allowed on the tour other than guide dogs.

  • Not recommended for travelers with back problems
  • No heart problems or other serious medical conditions
  • We do not see the section of the ceremony which occurs on the courtyard of Buckingham Palace, but instead we observe the highlights of the ceremony in other locations.
  • No videoing of the guide unless they have given permission
  • Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
  • Travellers should have good mobility as we encounter three flights of steps and march at the same pace as the guards at one point
  • This tour/activity will have a maximum of 25 travelers

Spectacular. Amazing. Those were the first two words we thought of. Mike was absolutely hilarious and kept us laughing the whole time he shared about British history and what we were seeing. I would’ve preferred a bit more time at certain spots to take pictures but the tour definitely gave a great overview of the whole ceremony. We took the tour specifically because of that. Thank you for a great morning!

Racing to see the Guards

We did enjoy our guide’s presentation at both palaces. We did not enjoy the racing from one location to the next. I don’t feel like I really saw the guards changing. I was too busy keeping up. Definitely did not have time for pictures as we running along. If you stopped you lost your guide in the crowds.

Hi Penny, sorry the tour didn't live up to your expectations. It's a fast paced tour for a reason - guards emerge from different locations at specific times and if we don't hustle from each place we won't see much of the ceremony. Most people get both a great overview and great photos so I'm not sure why that wasn't the case here. All the best :)

Watching the guard go through inspection and then marching to the palace to meet up with the other guard was much more fun than standing for hours trying to fight a crowd to watch a minimal changing of the guards. The prep before is much more fun to watch and you can actually see them up close
